Our mission has always been: “Feel better every day”,‘ says Emiel van Triest, CEO of Tunturi. ’Previously, we focused primarily on the physical health of our users. In today's world, people can only feel truly good if they know that their equipment has been produced with respect for people and nature. Our B Corp score of over 90 points shows that we have structurally embedded responsibility in our organisation.

A broad holistic approach

B Corp certification goes beyond environmental performance alone. Companies are assessed on their overall social impact, including ethical entrepreneurship, transparency and social responsibility.
The assessment covers five core areas: governance, employees, community, environment and customers. The certification confirms that Tunturi meets high standards in terms of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal anchoring of social responsibility.

OUR CLIMATE PROMISE

Circularity and sustainability at the heart of our brand

With the Tunturi Climate Promise, we promise to design products that are durable, come with good guarantees, are repairable and whose parts can be reused. We avoid disposable designs and are fully committed to circularity with refurbished programmes and recycling. Together with suppliers, we reduce CO₂ emissions through the use of renewable energy, more sustainable materials and smart logistics. Our packaging is also changing: less plastic and Styrofoam, more recycled cardboard. Our promise is clear: every product must contribute to a healthier planet. We always choose progress, even if it takes more effort. Because sustainability is not a side issue, but the core of our brand.

Working together towards a fitter society

Our responsibility extends beyond fitness equipment. We structurally support social initiatives to make exercise accessible to vulnerable groups. Through Fitkids, we make exercise possible for children with disabilities, so that they too can experience the power of sport. With the Themba Foundation, we support vulnerable communities in South Africa with education and healthcare. We also contribute to top-level sport, where athletes get the most out of themselves with our products. In this way, we combine social engagement with our passion for exercise. Transparency and fair business practices are at the heart of our policy. With our strict Code of Conduct for suppliers and partners, we set clear requirements for environmental impact, safe working conditions and fair labour. In addition, we actively participate in the Wecycle advisory board, where we shape policy for the circular use of electronics. In this way, we combine responsibility with innovation. For Tunturi, governance means not only complying with rules, but also becoming stronger together by being transparent and acting ethically, both within our own organisation and in the chain of which we are a part.

OUR 1% PROFIT PLEDGE

To the Fitkids Foundation

At Tunturi, we believe that exercise should be accessible to everyone. That is why we donate 1% of our total profits each year to Fitkids, a foundation that provides sports programmes for children with chronic illnesses or disabilities. With this support, we ensure that children can exercise, play and grow in a safe and stimulating environment. Every purchase at Tunturi therefore contributes directly to greater inclusivity and vitality. Our collaboration with Fitkids is a promise to the next generation: everyone deserves the opportunity to experience fun and health through sport and exercise.
