Can I display a video on my TV while I workout?
You can! For a more immersive experience, you can send the main screen of the app directly to your television.
Option 1: Android Screen casting
If you have a smart TV (a TV with a direct internet connection), all you need is a compatible smartphone or tablet with Android 5.0 or higher. These devices have the 'Cast Screen' feature. Follow this guide to learn how to cast your Android screen from the Google Home app.
Certain devices are optimized for Android Screen casting. You can see the full list here.
If you don't have a smart tv, you can use the Chromecast device. Plug it in your TV (via USB) and it will receive the signal from your smartphone or tablet. Need help setting up your Chromecast? Please follow this guide.
Option 2: IOS AirPlay
You can use AirPlay to stream or share content from your Apple devices to your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. Learn more in the step-by-step guide.
Once your device is connected to your TV, you can choose 3 different views:
- External display mode (1)
Your video, elevation profile, dashboard and map are displayed on your TV.
- External display mode (2)
Your video, elevation profile and dashboard are displayed on your TV. The map is displayed on your smartphone or tablet.
- Screen mirror
Display everything on both your TV and your smartphone or tablet.
Option 3: MHL
